Student Responsibilities

We feel privileged to be sharing a part of your child's life with them, and believe that working together we will be able to make the most of the time we spend together. To ensure that each child has the opportunity to have the best possible experience while at Tot Stop, we would appreciate it very much if you will review the following responsibilities with your child:

  • Continued disruptive behavior will not be tolerated from any child. Please refer to our discipline procedures for specific actions that will be taken.
  • It is strict policy that no swearing of any kind is allowed.
  • Respect the rights and privileges of others. Be kind, considerate, and expect the same from others.
  • Take pride in your school and respect the property of the school. Treat it as if it were your own home.
  • Respect all of the staff members. They will show you respect and treat you with kindness. If you have any disagreement or questions concerning a staff member please bring them to the director. Remember your child's teacher responds to positive strokes too.
  • No running on the cement.
  • No bikes on the grass areas.
  • No crashing bikes against wall or other bikes.
  • No sand or wood is allowed in the playhouse.
  • No climbing on or jumping off of the playhouse.
  • Big kids are not allowed to pick up the smaller kids.
  • No wrestling, play fighting or rough housing.
  • Do not go in the building without permission from a teacher, or until your parent comes inside to pick you up.
  • No climbing up the slides.
  • No jumping off of the swings.
  • Lunch time is reserved for eating. Snacks will be provided by the school twice a day. Your child should bring one item from each of the four basic food groups in their lunch. All food must be eaten in the classroom and not the playground.
  • No gum or candy allowed in school, that also means in the lunch boxes.
  • Bathroom cleanliness is very important. Remember to flush the toilets, wash your hands, and throw all papers in the trash.
  • We appreciate your cooperation and the trust you have placed in us to provide the best possible care for your child!
